Who?

This forum is managed mostly by the administrator dothacker (me) but is hosted by the other administrators Andrew and Jckf.

What?

The main purpose of the board is for Ninjutsu in my eyes. However this does not stop other more popular boards from growing to be the most powerful. If you are looking for "centralized ideas" then it would be Ninjutsu because everything can be seen as "useful" to a person who practices it in it's "real" form. Just as a warning, Ninjutsu is not a martial art, it is a way of life. It demands complete devotion from any practitioners. Ninjutsu is not for everyone. I hope this does not discourage anyone who wishes to learn. However, I do not wish for those not willing to put any effort into it to participate as this will be harmful to both yourself and the forum. At the time of this writing there is the:

  • General board which contains News and updates as well as a general chat.
  • Ninjutsu board which is has a place for weapons, tools, general survival (even non-Ninjutsu), help and other martial arts discussions.
  • Science board which contains Physics and Chemistry mostly.
  • Energy manipulation which contains boards for tutorials, discussion and help.
  • Technology which is a place for software, hardware, telecommunications and other types of technology.

    Why?

This forum exists because I wish to spread the knowledge of Ninjutsu. At first, it began as a forum because Art of the Ninja was becoming trashy with spam. I had started backing up posts with a little help from Tengukashi (aka Ravenoak13 on the old AOTN). Unexpectedly, AOTN went down due to a database error and thus we tried to gather all the old members we could. The forum here went unnamed (as "Dothacker") until shortly afterward when DocNinja suggested we name it Art of the Ninja then it was clear the old one wasn't coming back. I hope that any old members of AOTN will rejoin and I hope that people will join this new, improved AOTN.

So a while ago I saw a design for a large portable fire tripod somewhere online (if anyone knows where, let me know) made of conduit pipe. I did a bit of modification and came out with this little stand, made of much smaller materials. Not only is it portable, but it's adjustable. Ignore the ...... Read More

As some of you might have already guessed I'm not a fan of politics. Even politics found in martial arts I do my best to stay clear off. Through  the years I've read & heard this and that about Soke Masaaki Hatsumi & Stephen K Hayes but I've never got a clear picture of ...... Read More

You've most likely seen them, in the military or just around town, perhaps at sporting events. A CamelBak is like a backpack that comes in a variety of sizes, most from 1, 2, or 3 Liter capacity. They make water bottles as well, but I am referring to the packs, presently. They have several ...... Read More

In Hatsumi's book Art of the ninja: Secret techniques, there is a section where he talks on how the ninja of old passed down information through things like haiku. One of his examples is:
    A morning glory
    has usurped my well bucket
    I can go next door

I figured we ...... Read More

I come from a family of Druids. From as far back as I remember as soon as I was big enough to handle a blade my Grandfather & Father began to teach me the way of the Celtic/Elven Sword. Celtic/Elven Blades actually are somewhat longer & heavier then say a Japanese Katana. They also have a ...... Read More

Mmk, there's been no activity in this area for years now. Owing to demanding requests (lulz) I'll write a new one.
