Who?
The Art of the Ninja forum is managed mostly by the administrator dothacker but is hosted by the other administrators Andrew and Jckf. We have varying tech support from people including t0nedef.
What?
The main purpose of Art of the Ninja is for Ninjutsu in the eyes of dothacker. However, this does not stop other more popular boards from growing to be the most powerful. If you are looking for "centralized ideas" in the forum then it would be Ninjutsu. This is because everything can be seen as "useful" to a person who practices it in it's "real" form where it adapts and uses all available skills as a means to an end.
Just as a warning however, Ninjutsu is not a martial art, it is a way of life and it demands complete devotion from any of it's practitioners. Ninjutsu is not for everyone. This was not said to discourage anyone who wishes to learn. However, it at the Art of the Ninja forum we do not wish for those not willing to put any effort into it to participate as this will be harmful to both yourself and the forum. At the time of this writing there is the:
- General board which contains News and updates as well as a general chat.
- Ninjutsu board which is has a place for weapons, tools, general survival (even non-Ninjutsu), help and other martial arts discussions.
- Energy manipulation (written as "Psi" on the forum) which contains boards for tutorials, discussion and help.
- Technology which contains the pyrotechnic and other scientific boards as well as the boards for computers, telecommunications and Ninjutsu sciences (named Yogen on the board). You must be registered and logged in to view this board.
Why?
The Art of the Ninja forum and this wiki exist to spread the knowledge of Ninjutsu. At first, it began as a forum because the Art of the Ninja hosted by Aaron Thorn was becoming trashy with spam. The administrator dothacker had started backing up posts with a little help from Tengukashi (aka Ravenoak13 on the old AOTN). Unexpectedly, AOTN went down due to a database error and thus dothacker and the other members at the time tried to gather all the old members they could. The current Art of the Ninja forum went unnamed (as "Dothacker") after the founder for lack of a better title until shortly afterward when the user and old AOTN member DocNinja suggested it be named "Art of the Ninja" when it was clear the old one wasn't coming back. Everyone at Art of the Ninja hopes that any old members of AOTN will rejoin and hope that people will join this new, improved AOTN.
